If you want a quick and easy way to maximise your lash volume, then false lashes are a great place to start. They instantly boost lash volume plus they’re also affordable and reusable!
Magnetic lashes are one of the most popular types of volume-enhancing falsies, but how much do you know about them? Well, in this blog, we’ll show you how to maximise your lash volume by getting the most out of your falsies.
Learning how to use your magnetic lashes starts with learning how they work! So, let’s cover the basics.
Whereas traditional falsies are applied with glue, reusable magnetic lashes hold in place thanks to the wonders of the magnetic attraction.
Dual Strip and Single Strip are the two most common types of magnetic lashes.
Dual Strip falsies come in two parts and are then clipped together above and below your lash line so that they ‘sandwich’ your natural lashes.
Single Strip lashes come as one single band and attach to your lash line with magnet eyeliner.
It's important to clean the bands of your magnetic lashes after each use. This will stop makeup accumulating (which can provide a fertile breeding ground for bacteria) and will keep them in pristine condition.
After you’ve removed them, just dab a little micellar water onto a cotton swab and gently lift off any makeup residue.
Magnets are completely safe to use BUT we would recommend using Dual Strip over Single Strip. That’s because it’s best to avoid the iron oxides contained in magnetic eyeliner as they can irritate your skin.
Like other falsies, magnetic lashes come in a variety of different styles. Some might offer a more natural look, whilst others might help your lashes look thicker.
To maximise volume, you want to select a high-density falsie, which means one that has lots of long synthetic lashes clustered close together along the lash band.
It’s this combination of quantity (lots of falsies) and quality (good length) that adds volume to your lash line.
Once you’ve got the perfect magnets, there are a couple of final things you can do to take your falsies to the next level.
1) Mascara – Apply mascara to your natural lashes BEFORE applying your magnets (to avoid damaging the delicate synthetic fibres of your falsies with goopy mascara).
2) Lash Growth Serum – Boost your natural lash length and volume with a clinically-proven Lash Growth Serum. Ours shows results in just 30 days!
In this blog we’ve covered:
Of course, there’s also an alternative if you decide that magnets just aren’t for you, but you don’t want to go back to the messy days of glue. It’s time you tried our revolutionary LinerBond™ – a lash adhesive and eyeliner combined which holds your falsies in place with its own adhesive strength. No muck, no gunk!
