What’s the best way to apply false lashes?

You've spent half a day scouring the internet for the perfect false lashes, they finally arrive, you put them on, stride out the door and... poof! They fall off. Cue an anguished cry of “What? How?!”

Well, as important as it is to find the right lash set, you also need to find the right adhesive. Luckily, you’ve come to the right place 😀 If you want to know the secret to keeping your lashes firmly in place whatever the day brings, read on!

What are my options?

Traditionally there were two main ways to apply false lashes:

1) Eyelash glue

2) Magnetic Lashes

magnetic lashes are heavy and uncomfortable and traditional fake lash glues can damage your natural lashes

Eyelash Glue

Eyelash glues are the most basic option as they’re inexpensive and offer pretty good hold, since they bind the false lash directly to your lash line. However, they can cause your lashes to clump and tear, whilst some also contain toxins that are harmful to your skin. Check out our dedicated eyelash glue guide for the full lowdown.

Stuck with a load of gunky glue in your lashes and don’t know how to get it off? Don’t worry, we’ve also got a helpful lash glue remover blog here

Magnetic Lashes

Magnetic lashes bypass glues altogether, which makes them sound like an attractive option. These lashes have a magnetic strip running along the length of the band so when you place one above and one below your natural lash line they clip together and the force of the magnets holds them in place.

The only downside is that magnets, even small ones, are heavy, so whilst your lashes will stay securely in place, it can feel like they’re dragging down on your eyelid. Not the most comfortable solution!

Is there another option?

Yes! Say hello to LinerBond™. LinerBond™ is our revolutionary lash adhesive with a new proprietary formula which holds your lashes in place all- –day, with its own adhesive strength.

How does it work?

LinerBond™ is a pressure-activated adhesive. This means that, unlike other adhesives which rely on exposure to oxygen to set, LinerBondTM forms a bond as soon as it comes into contact with your false lash – no drying time required! Plus, thanks to its ultra-lightweight application, it won’t weigh down your lashes.

Is it safe?

Absolutely! Our LinerBond™ comes with a toxin-free, paraben-free and sulphate-free guarantee, so it’s suitable for use on even the most sensitive skin. What's more, the special pressure-bonding process reduces the amount of adhesive required, so you won’t have to deal with any of the gunk or mess that you’d associate with a traditional lash glue.
